Έχοντας παντρευτεί μια άστατη γυναίκα την Σύλβια που τον μισεί ακριβώς για την ψυχρότητα του , και έναν πολύ καλο φίλο τον Μακμάστερ, που του συμπαραστέκεται σε κάθε απόφαση του.
Είναι ένα πολύ καλογραμμένο βιβλίο σε άριστη μετάφραση από την Κατερίνα Σχινά.
Ένα χρονικό του μεγάλου πολέμου που δεν σε αφήνει ασυγκίνητο.
Περιμένω τον δεύτερο τόμο που όπως σήμερα με πληροφόρησαν θα βγει τον Ιούνιο. Και το έργο θα ολοκληρωθεί μέχρι το τέλος του 2020!
